After yesterday’s iPhone event, major financial firms downgraded AAPL which has resulted in a ~6% drop for AAPL this morning. As reported by ValueWalk, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Credit Suisse Group AG, Bank of America, and UBS AG downgraded the tech company yesterday. For Credit Suisse, AAPL is now considered “neutral”, down from “outperform.” Many of the analysts and financial firms were expecting the iPhone 5c to be an inexpensive model for China and other markets where phones go unsubsidized by carriers....

Adobe is adding a new feature to its Premiere Pro desktop video editing app to make creating content for multiple formats easier. Called Auto Reframe, the tool is powered by Adobe Sensei and will launch later this year. Last October at Adobe MAX, Adobe gave a sneak peak of a video tool called “Project Smooth Operator.” Out of the early demo came Auto Reframe, now being shown at IBC 2019 in Amsterdam....

Users of Adobe’s just launched Director 12, which introduced the ability to publish iOS games, weren’t too happy in January about the company’s decision to collect a 10 percent royalty on earnings above an initial 20K for paid iOS apps. Following the feedback from users, Adobe has now reversed its decision and will no longer require any royalty fees or registration for iOS titles published with the platform. Starting today, Adobe is rolling out a new version of its Creative Cloud desktop app for macOS and Windows with an updated design and totally new organization. Adobe hopes the new app will be a more intuitive way to launch and update apps and access your Creative Cloud files. Adobe’s previous Creative Cloud desktop app was always a bit of an outlier on macOS. The app behaved like a menu bar utility — always running and accessible with a click — but looked and felt more like a web app or port than a native Mac tool....

Warner Bros.’ live-action Akira movie has received a big tax incentive to film in California. The original Akira manga was written by Katsuhiro Otomo in the 1980s and has gone on to become one of the more influential sci-fi Japanese comic book series of all time.
