In a new report, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said not to expect the redesigned Lightning connector or power adaptor to feature as part of the iPhone 6’s package, quoting cost reasons. Actor John Witherspoon dies suddenly in California. The popular character actor is best known for playing father figures in the 1995 comedy Friday and The WB series The Wayans Bros. Witherspoon was 77 years old. Born and raised in Detroit, Witherspoon had long been part of the entertainment industry. His older brother William Witherspoon wrote songs for Motown Records, most notably David Ruffin’s 1966 single “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted.” During the same time period, John Witherspoon commenced a career in stand-up comedy, and ultimately made his television debut in 1977 on The Richard Pryor Show....

Medical device maker AliveCor has filed patent infringement claims against Apple and more in the past.
