Nintendo is gearing up to reveal a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter. The Super Smash Bros. series has been a staple of Nintendo’s systems ever since the original game released for the Nintendo 64. Since then there has been a Smash Bros. title on almost every major Nintendo system to date. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is actually the fifth game in the series so far. Ultimate in particular features 74 fighters from different franchises ranging from Donkey Kong to Castelvania. DLC fighters are of particular interest to fans, who eagerly await some of the most popular requests to be added to the game - though some, like Goku, have been adamantly shot down by series creator Masahiro Sakurai.
This morning Nintendo Versus tweeted out that the new DLC is being officially revealed on the 16th of January. The director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Sakurai, will reveal in a 35 minute livestream who the new character is and provide an in depth look at them. The video is being streamed at 6am PT, but can also be viewed on Nintendo’s YouTube page at any time after that.
