The networks are delivering their fall 2019 TV schedules at the upfronts this week, with ABC next up at bat. The Alphabet Network is bringing four new series to audiences and welcoming back The Conners, Single Parents, The Rookie, A Million Little Things, and Bless This Mess for their sophomore seasons. This fall will also mark the beginning of the final season of the Emmy winning Modern Family, as well as season 16 of Grey’s Anatomy (take that, Supernatural).
ABC’s fall schedule is shaping up to be much like the other networks’, with just a few new series premiering, while Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., American Idol, The Bachelor, Station 19 are being saved for midseason premieres along with newcomers The Baker and the Beauty, For Life, and United We Fall. But it looks as though the network’s biggest potential hits will premiere this fall, with shows starring MCU alum Cobie Smulders and Fargo’s Allison Tolman, as well as the family friendly Kids Say the Darnedest Things with new host Tiffany Haddish.

Stumptown may appeal to fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. due to it being based on the comic series of the same name from writer Greg Rucka. Emergence, meanwhile, was in the pipeline at NBC before the network passed, opening the door for ABC to swoop in and place the mystery thriller on its fall schedule.
