Alcatel has recently announced the latest smartphone in the Alcatel’s budget series which is the Alcatel A5 LED. The Alcatel A5 LED was first announced at the MWC in Barcelona earlier this year and the company launched the smartphone later in the different parts of the world. Talking about the Alcatel A5 LED, the smartphone has the back panel covered with LED lights which light up when you receive a notification or even while playing music which is also the headlining feature of the smartphone. Also, the smartphone’s LED lights are customizable which means that you can program the LED panel to make it respond in the way you want it to.
Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, the Alcatel A5 LED comes with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display at the front. There’s an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset as well as the smartphone features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter to take care of imaging. Also, the smartphone is powered by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage space. Also, the phone runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box which should get upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat. In terms of battery capacity, the smartphone has a 2,800mAh battery which provides power to the device.
Now, as far as the launch of the smartphone in the UK is concerned, the smartphone has been launched by the carrier Vodafone on its official Vodafone UK store. The smartphone has been priced by the carrier at £99 in the beginning and the monthly cost should be added later on by the carrier. Talking about the availability of the smartphone in the UK, the carrier has already listed the smartphone and the phone is already available for purchase at the same price as mentioned above on the official store. The Alcatel A5 LED is currently only available in Black variant on the Vodafone UK store.
