Andy Cohen called his interview with The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa and Joe Giudice “next level.” The Bravo couple has been in the news consistently since Joe’s release from ICE custody and hopes to shed some light on their future.
Both reality stars were sentenced in 2013 for filing a false bankruptcy report, trying to hide their wealth. Joe had other charges brought against him as well, also being indicted for failing to file tax returns between 2004 and 2008. Teresa was sentenced to 15 months behind bars and was released from federal prison after only having served 11 months. Upon her release, Joe was to report directly to the federal prison to start his time. Earlier this month, Joe was officially released and sent back to Italy to wait on his appeal.
Fans were excited when they heard the famous couple was going to be sitting down for an interview with Andy Cohen, according to Us Weekly. Even the Bravo host had psyched himself up, saying it will be a “next level” interview. This will be the first interview with Teresa and Joe since he had been deported at the beginning of the month. On October 22, the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host told fans that he had just filmed the interview and they would not want to miss it.
On Monday, October 21, Teresa took to Twitter to let her fans know that the married couple would discuss all that had happened between themselves and their family over the last few months. The mother of four said that since Joe was sent back to Italy, he would have to interview via video chat. While Joe was returned to his native country on October 11, he and his family still had high hopes that his appeal would be granted, and he could return to his New Jersey home. The 47-year-old called his wife from the plane to let her know that he was all right and was on his way home. Joe broke his silence on October 21, with a video that he shared saying that life is always better when you look forward. In the video, fans could see that Joe looked much slimmer and healthier than when they last saw him over three years earlier.
While the couple has been married for 20 years and shares four daughters - Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana - many still question their commitment to one another. There have been rumors that Teresa had been cheating on Joe while he was away - and who could forget the awkward, secret phone call Teresa walked in on of Joe telling a mystery woman that his wife was a “b*tch”? Finally, at the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion in January, Teresa said that the two would get a divorce if her husband were to be deported.
