The Altered Carbon season 2 ending features a race to save Harlan’s World and a devastating sacrifice - followed by a glimmer of hope in the final scene. By the time the credits roll, Quell is on her way to a new planet, Takeshi Kovacs Prime has decided to remain on Harlan’s World, and the other Takeshi isn’t quite as dead as he appears. When Takeshi first reconnects with Quell in Altered Carbon season 2, he discovers that she’s on a blood thirsty rampage against the founders of Harlan’s World....

Update: Apple has refreshed its Leadership webpage to reflect O’Brien’s new role in retail. After 5 years leading Apple’s retail initiatives, Angela Ahrendts will be stepping down as Apple’s senior vice president of Retail in April, according to Apple. In her place, Deirdre O’Brien is taking on the role of SVP of Retail + People. Following the departure of short-lived hire John Browett in 2012, Angela Ahrendts joined Apple in 2014 from fashion company Burberry and led a dramatic redesign of the company’s retail stores, which now number 506 across the globe....

Apple’s AirPods come in just one color, but it was only a matter of time before ColorWare provided a colorful alternative to the all white earbuds. As we noted earlier this week, ColorWare is now accepting orders for Apple Airpods in a variety of solid or metallic colors in a matte or glossy finish. Jonathan Morrison of TLD already got his mitts on ColorWare’s handy work, and he went for one of the most logical choices — a glossy black finish that closely resembles the Jet Black iPhone 7....

Xbox team working on Microsoft’s smartwatch? Former members of Microsoft’s Xbox team are reportedly working on Microsoft’s rumored smartwatch. Yup. Microsoft is also said to be working on a smartwatch. The good news is that the Xbox team has a pretty good track record for the whole hardware/gadgets/entertainment thing. After all, they are the same folks who succeeded with the Xbox and the Xbox 360. The rumor comes from The Verge, which has a pretty good track record with Microsoft rumors....

Update: The stock dropped further this morning on Foxconn reporting weaker than expected profit growth, though had regained its opening losses at the time of writing. AAPL’s stock price fell 5% in a single day yesterday in response to pessimistic supplier and analyst reports. That, coupled to unrelated concerns about Goldman Sachs and General Electric, saw the Dow Jones index slide more than 600 points … Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo yesterday slashed his earlier iPhone XR shipment estimates from 100M to 70M units....

Some users have noticed issues with the iPhone 6 Plus camera and NFC on both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but the cause of the problem— interference from magnets and metal components in accessories— isn’t well documented. The cause of the issue has been noticed by a small number of users online, and Apple does briefly warn users to avoid accessories that use magnets or metal components in a support document quietly updated in the months following the launch of the new iPhones....

While Apple made no mention of AirPower during today’s event, it looks like Apple may be launching AirPower later in 2018 than originally anticipated. Apple has seemingly updated its website today, removing all mentions of AirPower except in one place.
